Dear Readers of Immunology for Daily Living,
I have been off of Substack for a while due to the war that affected by Nation, my family, and my well-being. I am back with a renewed sense of purpose and direction.
For a long time, classical immunologists considered the immune system to be functioning in isolation. This view has now been successfully challenged by psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), a new field that integrates psychology, neuroendocrinology, and molecular immunology.
The effect of stress on the immune system is central to the PNI research. And stress has become a topic of intense interest to me personally due to my own circumstances. I’ve started a satellite Substack “Transforming Stress into Personal Growth,” to which you can subscribe HERE. It’s an integration of science, philosophy, and spirituality — as I see it.
Welcome Back Tetyana. I wondered where you'd gone. Looking forward to your new substack. I'm studying the biology of trauma, and neurodevelopment with Dr. Aimie Apigian. Fascinating subject and I look forward to reading more of what you say about it. x Marcia
I am so glad to see you back!!! I’ve missed you and wondered how you were!!
